DIY Deeryard Dice Game

It’s actually just the game Yahtzee but I figured for possible copyright reasons, might be best to just switch up the name a bit. Plus who doesn’t love a good alliteration? This DIY is probably the easiest one I’ve ever made. Literally, once you get all your supplies, it takes under an hour to put together.

I’m very excited to finally be making some DIY’s again, and especially some games. We are a hardcore gaming family, and I have some other board game plans in the works and such for all your future DIY games. We already checked a DIY Chinese Checkers off the list, but I have plenty more in my back pocket, don’t you worry.

So let’s cut the jabber, and get to the crafting…

Here’s what you need:

Here’s what you do:

  1. Take the non-cotton end of your halved ear swab and dip it into the black paint. You’ll be using this to make your dots on your dice as it makes a pretty even circle and a nice size ratio to the 3/4” wooden cubes.

  2. When you begin to make your dice, make sure that the opposite faces add up to equal seven. Meaning the 6 is opposite the 1, the 5 is opposite the 2, and the 4 is opposite the 3. Use the diagram below to help you place the numbers in the right spots on your wooden cubes.

  3. Once the paint has completely dry, use your paintbrush to apply the Modge Podge to each cube. This will help protect the wood and paint.

  4. Print off your score sheets, and you’re ready to play!
